Dr. J. Douglas Overbeck, MD is a board-certified cardiologist and vascular specialist at HeartPlace in Las Colinas, Mansfield and Arlington, Texas. A native Dallasite, he earned his medical degree from UT Southwestern Medical School, completed his internal medicine residency at Vanderbilt University, and finished his cardiology fellowship at Baylor University Medical Center, beginning practice in Irving/Las Colinas in 1989. Board certified in Cardiovascular Disease and Internal Medicine and a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology, he specializes in preventive cardiology and vein care, with more than 3, 500 radiofrequency ablations to his name. A former cardiovascular consultant for the Dallas Mavericks, he has been named a Texas Monthly Super Doctor for over 20 consecutive years.
